Hope Netshivhambe is an international storyteller and Voiceover Artist who grew up in Venda. They have a marketing diploma from Vaal university of technology and a certificate in Radio and TV presenting from Oakfields college. They have shared their work nationally and internationally and have performed at some of South Africa’s most prestigious Festivals. Hope has been featured widely on radio and television. Hope is a Co-creator and cast of the award winning short film #WeAreDyingHere. Hope is an Alumni of the “Black Girl Live fellows” under the mentorship of Koleka Putuma. Hope is also the creator, writer and performer of the mind gripping theatre piece Things without names.
Hope’s work has been published on digital platforms such as Poetry Portion,Odd magazine,Poetic egalitarianism anthology,Not a single story arts exhibition tabloid newspaper and the Avbob poetry competition website and on the washington DC magazine called Words, Beats & Life
Hope was a grand finalist in the 2016/2017 Tshwane Speak Out Loud youth competition slam and in 2019 they braved to participate again and took 3rd place in the same competition. Hope believes strongly in the power of words and is convinced that the world as we know it revolves around words. Hope lives by their self coined mantra “Do what you came for” which speaks of purpose.
